Turntable.fm went from being one of the most hyped music startups of mid-2011 to a company labeled by some as just a summer fad. Now, the startup is hoping for an encore with the release of what it is billing as the biggest change to its social music streaming service to date.
On Wednesday, Turntable unveiled a suite of updates to its website to double down on its group listening model for music and make the service function more smoothly. The central feature of the update is that there is no longer a fixed limit to the number of users who can be in a listening room at once.
